Family Meal is an homage to Hanuman Books, and the story of connections through food, family and friends. Nina Clemente  is a chef and friend and the daughter of Francesco Clemente, co-founder of Hanuman. Since its inception, Invisiblehand Press has had a dream of showing our love for Hanuman, finding crumbs of inspiration along the way. Family Meal is infused with this spirit of connection, care, and family. The book includes a conversation between Nina and her parents about how they fell in love, Nina and her daughter about food, and essays by Nina and Lilah. The book opens with Nina’s family’s beloved recipe of Puttanesca as written by her daughter, continuing the family’s legacy of cooking and art as  languages of love and care.
