American Ace, Craig Smith and Ben Wise, 2024, limited edition of 130

Created in collaboration with artist and professor Craig Smith, American Ace features risograph prints from the Larry Blagg Gay Matchbook Collection in the Cornell Rare Books Archive. This matchbook collection is an unique portrait of the 70’s and 80’s queer scene as collected by a young Larry Blagg in his travels in the Western US. The book functions as both a celebratory archive and as a creative intervention in 20th century queer iconography.
